

The Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation has taken a major step forward by launching advanced monitoring technology to enhance supervision and efficiency across construction projects. A new centralized supervision center has been established alongside initiatives to produce and distribute construction materials and to provide training for industry experts. Board chairperson Aisha Mohamed noted that this effort is already showing results, with 67 projects underway valued at over 55.7 billion birr. By reducing dependence on imported materials and implementing modern oversight tools, the corporation is working to overcome long-standing challenges and ensure greater accountability and progress within the sector.
